Digital Desk: A video has emerged showing Abhishek Das, a 23-year-old youth, who tragically lost his life in an alleged mob lynching in Goreswar, Tamulpur, pleading for water on the day of the incident.


The footage captures Abhishek crying out for help, shedding light on the harrowing moments before his death.

The incident reportedly took place on August 20 at Bharali Chowk of Goreswar in Tamulpur district.


Abhishek's family has alleged that he succumbed to injuries caused by mob violence following an accident.


However, eyewitnesses and local residents described the incident as a road accident, denying the lynching allegation.


Abhishek's friends, who were also present at the scene, claimed that locals beat him up. He was later rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors. 


According to reports, Abhishek was driving the vehicle with four friends onboard while returning from Bogamati, a popular picnic destination in Baksa district.


The vehicle reportedly crashed into a roadside shop while attempting to avoid a collision with an e-rickshaw.


The incident has garnered widespread concern across the state. The family of Abhishek Das had filed a complaint, demanding justice for the young man.
