Digital Desk: Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra, who is part of the star-studded commentary team for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, has tested positive for coronavirus. The 45-year-old took to Twitter to give an update on his health, revealing that he is suffering from mild symptoms and will be out of the commentary booth for a few days.
"Caught and Bowled Covid. Yups...the C Virus has struck again. Really mild symptoms ... all under control," Chopra said in a tweet on Tuesday.
"Will be away from the commentary duties for a few days, hoping to come back stronger #TataIPL," he added.
The dreaded Covid-19 has previously affected the Indian Premier League. The uncontrollable Covid-19 outbreak around the globe forced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to organize the last few IPL tournaments inside bio-bubbles, ensuring the safety of the players, support staff, and other participants involved.
