It is noteworthy that Cotton University celebrates International Yoga Day each year with great enthusiasm. 

Digital Desk: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Cotton  University organized a celebration at the Dr. T Ao Indoor Stadium of the University here today. The event started at 8.15 AM and was flagged off by Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, the Vice Chancellor of Cotton University.

The celebration of the 9th edition of International Yoga Day included a yoga demonstration by Pratibha Teron, an invited yoga expert for the occasion, and Biponshi Borah, PG 4th semester student from the Department of Statistics, Cotton University.

Along with the VC, the event saw the presence of Prof. Manjit Kumar Bhattacharyya, Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Prasanta Sarma, Director of Student Welfare, Dr. Kulen Das, Sports Officer, Dr. Bandana Sarma, Dr. Hiren Deka, Dr. Debajyoti Barooah, Dr. Samiksha Gogain- senior faculty members; NSS, NCC members, other students and staff members of the University. It is noteworthy that Cotton University celebrates International Yoga Day each year with great enthusiasm. 


This year's International Yoga Day 2023 has the official theme "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which translates to "One Earth, One Family, One Future." With frequent Yoga practise, this topic emphasizes the healthy being of every individual, regardless of discrimination.
