The memorandum envisages exchange in research through joint and twin programmes in research and development including internships for students of Cotton University.

Digital Desk: In a bid to initiate and strengthen training and research in areas relating to cancer and other allied medical disciplines, Cotton University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) here in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The memorandum envisages exchange in research through joint and twin programmes in research and development including internships for students of Cotton University. The objective is also to jointly organize seminars, conferences, or workshops; inter-institutional exchange of faculty members in research and teaching; exchange of institutional facilities including library facilities for students and faculty members; develop joint research project proposals for submission to funding agencies and so on.

The MoU is initially valid for a period of five years which may be modified, renewed or extended. It was signed by Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki, Director, BBCI and Prof. Maheswar Kalita, Registrar, Cotton University. Also present during the event were Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Barthakur, Dr. Debabrata Barman, Dr. Apurba Kumar Kalita, Dr. Minati Barthakur, Prof. Mahadev Patgiri, Prof. Jiban Jyoti Das and many others.
