Digital Desk: A BJP member and a land mafia are accused of attacking a married couple in Guwahati on Wednesday out of a conspiracy to grab their land.
According to reports, the incident took place in Guwahati's Satgaon area, near Narengi. The couple claimed that they were attacked to scare them away so that their land might be taken.
The victim, identified as Om Prakash Majhi, levelled the allegations. He claimed that BJP member Gopal Chetry plotted their attack with the land mafia Keshav Murari.
The couple also claimed that the police were ineffective, claiming that even after filing a complaint at the Satgaon Police Station, no action was taken by them.
