Digital Desk: A lower court in Assam has ordered a hold on the release of the upcoming Assamese film "Sri Raghupati."

The Kamrup (M) District and Sessions Judge Court issued a stay order due to claims of breach of contract with former producer Suruj Sarma.

Reportedly, Suruj Sarma's son, Dhritimaan Sarma, filed a case in court citing a violation of the contract.

As per reports, the Metropolitan Magistrates Court ordered the restraint of the release of the film 'Sri Raghupati' after hearing the case.

It should be noted that the much-awaited film 'Sri Raghupati,' starring Ravi Sarma, was scheduled to be released on June 2. Preety Kongana, Priyam Pallavi, Siddhartha Sarma, Arun Nath, and Arun Hazarika are among the cast members of the film.

The plot of the film 'Sri Raghupati' centres around Raghupati Rai Baruah, an ACS officer known for his honesty and diligence, who embarks on an impulsive journey to find missing women. During the investigation, he uncovers a women trafficking ring, which leads to even more challenging issues.
