7,22,002 patients in total, including 682 on Monday, have recovered from COVID-19.


Digital Desk: The number of COVID-19 cases reported in Assam increased by 760, bringing the total to 7,35,621, according to the National Health Mission (NHM) report.


Out of the 8,499 samples examined on Monday, 760 new cases were found, and the positivity percentage dropped from 10.29% the day before to only 8.94%. 


Compared to the previous day, when there were 5,527 active cases in the state, there are now 5,605 active cases overall.


According to the statement, Dibrugarh (64), Goalpara (57), Baksa (51), Dhemaji (47) and Biswanath (42) all reported new instances.


The advisory states that no COVID-related deaths have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours.


While 1,347 COVID-19-positive patients have passed away for unrelated reasons since April 2020, the overall mortality toll has remained at 6,667.


In the state, the COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98%. The statement adds that 2,84,94,264 samples in total have been tested in the state thus far.


According to the report, vaccines have been given in a total of 4,80,33,830 doses, comprising 2,46,10,351 first doses, 2,16,73,915 second doses, and 17,49,564 precaution doses.
