Digital Desk: According to data updated on Friday by the Union health ministry, India's overall number of cases has risen to 4,30,72,176, with 3,377 new Covid-19 cases detected in the last 24 hours (April 29, 2022).
With 60 daily fatalities today, India's death toll has risen to 5,23,753. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country has risen to 17,801.
In addition, the country reported 2,496 recoveries in a single day. The total number of persons who have recovered from the disease has risen to 42530622, with a mortality rate of 1.22 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 821 cases in the active Covid-19 caseload. The government also stated that active cases make up 0.04 per cent of all infections, with the national Covid-19 recovery rate being 98.74 per cent.
The weekly positivity rate was 0.63 per cent, while the daily positivity rate was 0.71 per cent.
On Friday at 8 am, the total number of doses provided under the statewide Covid-19 vaccination drive exceeded 188.65 crores.
According to the Health ministry report, 4,73,635 Covid-19 tests have been performed around the country in the last 24 hours.
