Due to the Manchester United Contract it has officially parted ways with star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo...

Digital Desk: Manchester United has officially parted ways with star performer Cristiano Ronaldo, the club announced late Tuesday. The news comes less than 48 hours before Portugal's World Cup opener against Ghana in Qatar.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect," the club said in a statement. The club wishes him and his family well for the future and thanks him for his enormous contribution during two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances. Manchester United's focus remains on continuing the team's progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to achieve success on the field."
In response, Ronaldo issued a statement stating that his love for the club and fans will not change after his departure.

"Following discussions with Manchester United, we have mutually agreed to terminate our contract." I adore Manchester United and its supporters, and that will never change. It appears that the time has come to seek a new challenge. "I wish Manchester United the best of luck," the five-time Ballon d'Or winner added.

Ronaldo has actively pursued a transfer away from the club since the summer, stating his desire to play in the Champions League. However, the Portuguese were unable to generate enough interest and were forced to settle for a minor role at Old Trafford. The 37-year-old made headlines frequently, failing to report for preseason and refusing to come on as a substitute in a game against Tottenham.

The turning point, however, was Ronaldo's Talk TV interview with Piers Morgan, in which he accused the club of 'betraying' him. Ronaldo slammed the club's ownership, Ten Hag, and former players in a 90-minute interview that was not sanctioned by the club.

Following the release, the Red Devils pursued legal action and have officially decided to mutually terminate Ronaldo's contract. The 37-year-old was on a £500,000 per week contract until June, with an option for an additional year.
