Currently, CBI has registered 11 FIRs, including the viral video of two young tribal women paraded naked.



Digital Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation team that is visiting the violence-hit state of Manipur will be safeguarded by the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). 


"Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been given charge of security of CBI teams visiting various locations in Manipur for investigation purposes and collection of evidence," a senior official said.


The CBI team headed by Special Director Ajay Bhatnagar arrived in Imphal on Wednesday to look into the alleged kidnapping and murder of two students who went missing earlier. 


Teams must visit the crime scene, recreate the scene, gather forensic evidence, and then send it to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in cases that have been registered with or transferred to the CBI.


The official added, "CRPF soldiers will accompany them during their visits in violence-hit areas for investigation purposes in order to ensure swift investigation and maintaining the safety of CBI officials on priority."


It is to be noted that CBI has currently filed 11 FIRs incuding the viral video of two young tribal women being paraded naked. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
