Chennai's Super Kings won their fifth IPL title. CSK won by 5 wickets over GT in a nail-biting match...

Digital Desk: Chennai Super Kings won their fifth Indian Premier League title with a five-wicket victory against Gujarat Titans in a rain-marred but entertaining final clash.

Gujarat Titans posted 214 for four after being asked to bat first, thanks to Sai Sudharsan's 96 in 47 balls. CSK completed the task in the last ball at a packed Narendra Modi Stadium, having set a revised target of 171 in 15 overs after rain interrupted play at the start of the second innings of a final that was pushed to the reserve day due to heavy downpour.

It was all "Jaddu ka jadu" in the last two balls that helped to win CSK the IPL 2023 Trophy. With ten runs needed from the final two deliveries, Jadeja struck a six and a leg byes four to seal the victory for CSK.

CSK set a target of 171 in 15 overs, and Dhoni's team won the game on the final ball.

CSK now has the same number of IPL trophies as Mumbai Indians - 5. In the midst of speculation regarding Dhoni's retirement, the IPL victory is a huge lift for both the franchise and the fans.
