They selected the place for this reason. "We want to remind Modi of the commitment he made on his first day in office."

Digital Desk: The opposition has opted to gather at the entrance to parliament for its 50-hour demonstration against the suspension of MPs. Photos of the five MPs who spent their second night outdoors on the lawns next to Mahatma Gandhi's statue were shared by a number of opposition figures. The photographs show the MPs dozing under mosquito netting.

In a tweet sent at 1:00 a.m., Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien urged parliament to lift the suspension of 27 MPs who were punished for wanting to examine price increases.

It is the early morning hours. Congress met on July 29. An image from the Dharna website is constant throughout the day and night they are still going strong after 50 hours of the protest. 12 hours remain. "I want to rescind the suspensions of 27 MPs who were penalized for wanting to talk about the #PriceRise," writes Derek O'Brien.

It was anticipated that the 50-hour sit-in, which started in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at the parliament complex on Wednesday, would come to an end at 1 p.m. today. The protesters claimed they were there to remind PM Modi of the commitment he made when he was elected to office in 2014. They selected the place for this reason. "We want to remind Modi of the commitment he made on his first day in office."

"He touched his forehead there while ascending the stairs," the boss said.

Later, in the midst of torrential rain, the demonstration was moved to the Parliament entrance.

Sanjay Singh, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Santanu Sen, Dola Sen, Abir Ranjan Biswas, and Derek O'Brien, as well as Ravichandra Vaddiraju, a member of the TRS, were among the MPs who staked out at the House of Commons. The meeting also included a few DMK and Left Party leaders.

The DMK offered idli for the MPs' lunch yesterday, while the Trinamool served them fish fry and tandoori chicken. When non-vegetarian food was served in front of the Gandhi statue, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala objected, sparking an uproar.
