Digital Desk: Ankit Sirsa, the youngest shooter responsible for the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala, has been detained. The "primary shooter" in the slaying, according to the authorities, was him.

Ankit Sirsa, 18, was detained Friday night in Delhi's bus terminal. He belongs to the gang led by mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, according to the police.

He allegedly fired six rounds at Sidhu Moose Wala while standing close by. He was also detained along with his colleague Sachin Virmani.

Sidhu Moose Wala, 28, was shot dead on May 29 by a group of attackers at a village in Punjab. His body had 19 bullet wounds and he died within 15 minutes of being shot.

The primary suspect in the killing is the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is alleged to have planned the murder from behind bars.

According to Delhi police sources, Ankit Sirsa fired with both hands when he was closest to the musician, who was driving an SUV.

Ankit is pictured clutching a gun with bullets that spell out "Moose Wala" on them. In several photos, he also holds an AK-47 and other weapons.

He was the "most desperate" of the lot, the police said.

He claimed that gangster Goldy Brar, a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi who lives in Canada, gave him the order to assassinate Moose Wala the day before. Shortly after the murder, Goldy Brar took credit for it in a Facebook post.

Three people were previously detained by Delhi police in Kutch, Gujarat. The defendants were named as Keshav Kumar (29), a resident of Bhatinda in Punjab, Kashish (24), also from the state's Jhajjar district, and Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Sonipat in Haryana.
