Digital Desk: According to CNN, the death toll from the devastating and destructive tornadoes that ripped through the American South and Midwest has risen to 32, while parts of the Southern Plains braced for another round of severe weather.
The storm hit America on
Friday and has since crushed homes and businesses, ripped roofs off buildings,
splintered trees, and sent vehicles flying.
One such tornado ripped Wynne,
Arkansas, in half, leaving a path of destruction from the city's western to
eastern limits, according to Mayor Jennifer Hobbs, who told CNN Sunday,
"We're just going to need all the help that we can (get) to help these
families recover."

Three deaths occurred
in Memphis, where two children and one adult were discovered dead after police
responded to calls about trees that had fallen on homes, according to a news
release from the Memphis Police Department.
Following reports of tornadoes
in Arkansas, the governor declared a state of emergency Friday afternoon after
officials reported one death in North Little Rock and two deaths in Wynne.
According to CNN, a state of emergency was also declared in Missouri in
response to severe weather.
According to the fire chief,
Shawn Schadle, one person was killed and 28 others were hospitalized after the
roof collapsed at a theatre in Belvidere with 260 people inside on Friday night
in northern Illinois.
Three people were killed after
a tornado struck Sullivan Country, Indiana, about 150 miles east of Sherman,
according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames.
Tornadoes were reported to the
National Weather Service in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Mississippi, in addition to
Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee. Tornado warnings remained in effect
for parts of Alabama and Georgia as the storm system moved eastward early
Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
An overnight tornado, with
estimated maximum winds of 170 mph, levelled much of Rolling Fork, Mississippi,
causing extensive damage.
US President Joe Biden visited Rolling Fork, Mississippi, on Friday, the community hardest hit by the tornadoes last week. Tornadoes in Rolling Fork and surrounding Sharkey County killed 13 people and destroyed homes and businesses.
