Six female wrestlers have reportedly alleged Singh of sexual harassment at tournaments held in Indonesia, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.

Digital Desk: The Delhi Police has reached out to wrestling federations in five nations regarding the ongoing sexual harassment case against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

Six female wrestlers have reportedly alleged Singh of sexual harassment at tournaments held in Indonesia, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. The police have reportedly made an official request for information and CCTV footage from those events.

The police are requesting the CCTV footage as they prepare to present a charge sheet in court by June 15. The police have taken statements from more than 200 people thus far, including the complainants, coaches, referees, and Singh's colleagues at WFI.

A top Delhi Police official said, "We had contacted numerous federations within a week of filing the FIRs, and some of them have already answered. Why this issue is being brought up again is unknown."

Two of the female wrestlers reportedly accused Singh of improperly groping their breasts and bellies while he pretended to check their respiration. Four of the women have offered audio and visual proof to back up their claims.

The female wrestlers have been calling for Singh's arrest and demonstrating against him since April 23. However, after gaining guarantees from Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on June 7 that the charge sheet will be filed before June, the protest was temporarily put on hold.

The allegations have been strongly denied by Singh, who claims they are part of a plot to damage his reputation.
