The Divine day of Ambubachi festive celebration starts today in Kamakhya.
Digital Desk: Hundreds of worshipers line up to make their way to the sanctuary at Kamakhya Devalaya in Guwahati for the Ambubachi Mela, which began today and runs until June 26.
As mentioned by a temple priest Niren Sharma, "Devotees come here early and line up in queue from 2 AM in the morning to seek the blessings of the goddess Kamakhya, the temple doors open up at 7 AM, and the doors of the Sanctorum will be closed at 8:18 PM in the evening."
Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma also took his words to micro blogging site, twitter, as his tweet reads-
" कामाख्ये कामसम्पन्ने कामेश्वरि हरप्रिये | कामनां देहि मे नित्यं कामेश्वरि नमोऽस्तु ते |
"As the auspicious Ambubachi Mela begins from today, I pray to Maa Kamakhya to bless everyone with good health, happiness & prosperity, besides help us ward off all evils."

From this evening until the morning of June 26, the shrine of Kamakhya devalaya will be closed for devotees, and the doors to the temple will be reopened at 8: 41 AM on Sunday.
The Saints (Rishis) and Babas came from all over the country and expressed their joy and excitement at being back after two consecutive years. We all know how much the Covid pandemic affected the previous two years.
According to a sage named 'Digambar Bam Bam Puri Ji Maharaj' from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, they will pray, perform Yajnas, meditate, and worship Goddess Kamakhya for universal good since they were born to safeguard the universe.
Ambubachi, which means "spoken with water" and is believed to be one of the 52 shakti peethas, alludes to the celebration of the goddess Kamakhya's menstrual cycle during the rainy season brings fertility to the land. It is one of June's largest devotees' gatherings at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
