Students at DHSK College (Autonomous) in Dibrugarh recently participated in a crucial first aid demonstration camp aimed at enhancing their awareness and practical skills in emergency response. The initiative focused on imparting knowledge regarding basic first aid techniques and handling common orthopaedic concerns, a vital skill set for any community member.
The collaborative effort saw the Dibrugarh Orthopaedic Society team up with the Department of Orthopaedics, Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH), and the Health & Hygiene Cell of DHSK College. This partnership brought together medical expertise and an educational platform to foster a safer campus environment and better-prepared individuals.
A dedicated team of medical professionals from AMCH, under the leadership of Dr. Bipul Borthakur, Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, conducted the engaging demonstration. The sessions included practical exercises and interactive discussions, allowing students to directly engage with experts and clarify their doubts regarding immediate medical assistance.
Organisers highlighted the importance of such workshops in empowering young individuals to act confidently and effectively during unforeseen medical emergencies.
