Digital Desk: Ambari-Fatashil Police seized a large quantity of drugs from Ganeshpara  in Guwahati and arrested a suspected drug trafficker during a special operation. The seizure was made by the Fatasil Ambari Police following a targeted raid in the area.


Two soap cases were filled with drugs were recovered from the possession of the accused. The seized contraband is estimated to have a market value of approximately ₹5 lakh, police said.

The arrested trafficker has been identified as Bimal Basumatary, a resident of Udalguri district. Following the arrest, the police have launched further investigations to trace the source of the drugs and identify others involved in the trafficking network.


Guwahati Police stated that the investigation in the case is currently underway.
