Digital Desk: In a major crackdown against illegal activities, the Sribhumi police recovered a significant haul of drugs from two areas of the Sribhumi district. In the early hours of Saturday, the Assam Police recovered drugs worth Rs 7 crore in separate incidents. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma shared that three smugglers were also arrested following the recovery of the drugs. 50,000 YABA tablets were recovered, and a person was arrested from Puwamara, while 5,800 YABA tablets were recovered, and two persons were arrested from Longai.

In the video post shared by the Chief Minister, the police personnel were seen opening up tyres to seize the YABA tablets.
Sharing the news of the recovery of the huge amount of contraband from Sribhumi, CM Sarma sent a strong message to the drug peddlers and assured continued operations against such illegal activities in the state.
