The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Kanaighat, Bangladesh...

Digital Desk: Guwahati was shaken by a 5.4-magnitude earthquake on Monday. According to initial reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in Kanaighat, Bangladesh. The earthquake hit at around 8.19 p.m. (IST), and tremors were felt as far as in Guwahati and Myanmar.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter was at a depth of 16 kilometers and was located at 25.02 N (latitude) and 92.13 E (longitude).

National Center for Seismology Tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude:5.4, Occurred on 14-08-2023, 20:19:47 IST, Lat: 25.02 & Long: 92.13, Depth: 16 Km ,Location: 49km SE of Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya."
