Digital Desk:  Intense earthquake vibrations lasting several seconds were felt in Delhi and neighbouring areas late Tuesday evening. According to reports, earthquakes measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale were reported in Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The earthquake's epicentre is thought to be 90 kilometres from Kalafgan in Afghanistan.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 occurred on Tuesday at 22:17:27 IST, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). 

According to NCS, the earthquake occurred 133 kilometres southeast of Fayzabad in Afghanistan.

The earthquake was detected at a depth of 156 kilometres, according to the NCS.

Following the earthquake, Delhi Fire Services received a call about a building tilting in the Shakarpur area, based on the most recent reports.
