Digital Desk: Telangana Director General of Police Anjani Kumar was suspended by the Election Commission of India on Sunday for violating the Model Code of Conduct, as reported. The meeting took place after Kumar met Congressman Revanth Reddy, who is running for the state assembly election.

Anjani Kumar, Telangana's police chief, and Sanjay Jain, the state police nodal officer, met with Anumula Revanth Reddy, a Telangana Assembly candidate before the results were declared.

In a video posted by news agency ANI, the senior police official was seen receiving Reddy with a flower bouquet.
