After reviewing all of the records of the cases against Bikram Aditya Bora, and considering the seriousness of the charges, which involve moral turpit


Digital Desk: Two Assam Civil Service (ACS) personnel who were arrested for fraud have had their suspension orders extended for three months. In this regard, the Government of Assam's Personnel Department issued a notification today. Bikram Aditya Bora, Deputy Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region, was suspended with effect from December 4, 2021, following his detention in connection with Vigilance PS Case No.05/2021. After reviewing all of the records of the cases against Bikram Aditya Bora, and considering the seriousness of the charges, which involve moral turpitude, corruption, and misuse of official power for personal gain, the committee decided that reinstatement at this stage may not be in the best interests of the public service. Hence, his period of suspension has been extended for three months.

 

Abul Khair Ilias Noshim Ahmed, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Department, was suspended with effect from December 4, 2021, following his detention in connection with Vigilance PS Case No.05/2021. In his case, the review committee determined that re-instatement at this time may not be in the best interests of public service. His punishment has also been extended for another three months.
