Digital Desk: In a significant victory, police in Barpeta, Assam, discovered a significant bogus voter-identification card racket on Sunday and detained three individuals in connection with the case.

According to officials, the main suspect and three other people were detained for allegedly creating false voter identification cards.

Farukh Khan was named as the case's primary defendant. He was detained by the police together with Sahidul and Abdul Ali.

 The detained Khan's possession included a total of 262 forged voter identification cards, according to the police.

 Moreover, raids were conducted at three different locations across Barpeta under the leadership of the officer-in-charge of Barpeta Sadar Police Station.

Officials confiscated several equipments including a desktop, a laptop and a printer, used in printing the fake voter-IDs.
