Digital Desk: A shocking incident has emerged from No 2 Bhelamari in Barkhetri, Nalbari district, where a 14-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly subjected to sexual assault.
The accused, identified as Samsuddin Ahmed, a father of two, is reported to have committed this heinous crime.
Approximately 15 days ago, the sixth-grade student was on her way home from school when Samsuddin allegedly forced her into a maize field and assaulted her, threatening to kill her if she revealed the incident.
Out of fear and societal pressure, the minor initially kept silent.
However, on February 27, the accused allegedly took advantage of another opportunity and assaulted the girl again on a deserted road.
Unable to endure the mental and physical trauma any longer, the girl finally confided in her family, revealing the harrowing ordeal.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the community.
Following the victim's disclosure, her family lodged a formal complaint at the Sialmari Police Station.
Currently, the accused, Samsuddin Ahmed, remains at large.
Local residents have condemned this barbaric act, urging the police to apprehend the culprit promptly and ensure justice is delivered.
