Digital Desk: A horrifying incident of moral policing has resurfaced in the state.
This incident occurred in Surjyakhata Part 1 village in Bilasipara, where a mentally challenged young man was tied to an electric pole and subjected to brutal punishment after being accused of stealing a mobile phone.
Allegations of moral policing have been raised against Fakir Chand Mondal and several other individuals from the village.
Following the incident, the victim's family has filed an FIR at the Bilasipara Police Station.
The police have arrested the main accused, Fakir Chand Mandal.
Many have demanded strict action against all individuals responsible for taking the law into their own hands and perpetrating this heinous act of moral policing.
