According to the information received, the fire incident was reported occurred when the family of Italis Khymdeit and Tiwen Warjri were not at their home and had gone to the grandmother's home along with their 5 kids.

Digital Desk: In an unfortunate incident, one family of Italis Khymdeit and Tiwen Warjri lost their home and properties after the fire engulfed all their properties within a period, the incident was reported occurred on the 13th of April (Saturday) evening around 7 o’clock on Sonidan village under Umsning C&RD Block in Ri Bhoi District.

According to the information received, the fire incident was reported occurred when the family of Italis Khymdeit and Tiwen Warjri were not at their home and had gone to the grandmother's home along with their 5 kids.

It is also informed that the incident has been suspected to occurred after the family had cooked their dinner and left their home the fire started from their kitchen when they were away from their home, but when they returned, they saw the devastating incident when their home and their properties turned to ashes.

The Rangbah Shnong of Sonidan, Wander Khymdeit has expressed their grief concern over the fire incident that has engulfed the habitat and properties of one of their residents, citing that, the villagers who witnessed the incident tried to dosed the fire but in vain.

The Dorbar Shnong immediately, informed the police department, fire services, and the Block Development Officer of the Umsning C&RD Block for their assistance and urged the authority concern of the Meghalaya Government along with the public representatives and Ngo’s to come to the family aids by referring immediate assistances toward their lost.
