The nation's technology proficiency has greatly increased, and with increased digital literacy, youths are now able to take online exams.

Digital Desk: The Indian Army is holding the first-ever national online common entrance exam as part of Digital India, keeping up with the pace of technology. This represents a significant change in the Indian Army's recruitment procedures.

The nation's technology proficiency has greatly increased, and with increased digital literacy, youths are now able to take online exams.

Three stages will be used moving forward for the recruitment process. All applicants will take the Online CEE in stage one. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to recruiting rallies at sites selected by the local Army recruiting Office for the Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test in stage two.

The third and final stage involves a medical test for the selected candidates. Following that, the chosen candidates' final merit list will be announced.

From April 17 through April 26, 2023, the Online Common Entrance Exam will be offered at 375 Examination Centres throughout 176 cities in India. 26 centres spread across 14 cities in all seven states are administering the exam in the North East Zone.

The 14 cities are Imphal, Ukhrul, Churachandpur, Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, and Tezpur in Assam, Shillong in Meghalaya, Aizawl in Mizoram, Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland, and Agartala in Tripura.
