Digital Desk: In Moirabari's Moinajan Krishna Nagar area, authorities uncovered a hub of illegal activities related to women trafficking. Local women apprehended three women and two young men red-handed.

After questioning and confronting the suspects, they handed them over to the Jagiroad police for further investigation.

Meanwhile, three other young men who initially fled the scene were later captured by local residents.

Reports indicate that a woman named Ujjala Sarkar had been operating this illicit business from her newly constructed house in the area for a considerable period.

The house frequently saw the arrival of unknown and suspicious individuals, disrupting the community with immoral activities even during daylight hours.

Despite repeated warnings from local residents, Ujjala Sarkar ignored their concerns. On Friday, a group of local women conducted a surprise raid on the property, uncovering two women involved in illegal activities.

The raid led to the capture of two young men, identified as Hetul and Rashidul from Jhargaon Sidhaguri, who were subsequently handed them over to the police.

Additionally, three others, identified as Rukman Ali from Paliguri and Azarul from Dhanshali, along with one unidentified individual were later captured and handed over to the police.

During the raid, police seized several objectionable items from Ujjala Sarkar's residence, including a vehicle used for transporting broiler chickens, a motorcycle, and multiple mobile phones brought by the young men.

Local residents have issued a stern warning, stating that if strict action is not taken promptly against this trafficking ring, they will take matters into their own hands.
