FlyBig Airlines, located in Indore, will begin service between Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, and Guwahati, the largest city in Northeast India, on January 15, 2023...

Digital Desk:  In connection with the UDAN project, flybig has become India's first newest regional airline, with operations beginning on January 15th, 2022 from the Donyi Polo airport in Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh.

flybig will operate a direct daily morning trip from Itanagar to Guwahati on its ATR aircraft, with an initial ticket of Rs 1111. According to a press statement, flybig will also provide onward connections to three more destinations on its network.

Itanagar will be the tenth destination on the flybig network, and the third in Arunachal Pradesh. Flybig also flies from Guwahati to Tezu six days a week and Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh seven days a week.

"We are honoured to begin our operations from Itanagar under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji's flagship UDAN scheme," said Saanjay Mandavia, Chief Managing Director of flybig. Flybig's mission has always been to give connectivity to destinations that were previously inaccessible by air, and operations to Itanagar are merely another step in that direction."

Welcoming flybig's initiative to provide air connectivity to Itanagar to the rest of the nation, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu said, "We are grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for fulfilling the dream of Arunachal Pradesh people to get air connectivity after 75 years of India's Independence. We thank flybig for delivering the third and most important link in Arunachal Pradesh."
