Digital Desk: In a rare medical case, a foetus was found inside the stomach of a 40-day-old infant in Bihar's Motihari.

According to reports, a 40-day-old baby was recently brought to the Rahmania Medical Center in Motihari for treatment. The child's parents said that the child felt bloated, and due to the bloating, the baby could not urinate properly.

Following the child's condition and to find out the reason for the child's bloating of the stomach and the stoppage of urine, Dr. Tabrez Aziz of Rahmania Medical Center prescribed a computed tomography (CT) scan for the patient.

After the test result, everyone was shocked when the doctors informed that a foetus was found inside the infant's stomach.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ANI, Dr. Tabrez Aziz explained that the case is known as 'Foetus in fetu,' or the presence of a foetus in the child's stomach, in medical terminology.

Aziz informed that this rare case only occurs in one out of five lakh patients.

"A foetus was discovered growing inside the stomach of a 40-day-old baby, which is an uncommon medical occurrence." Aziz explained, "It's called foetus in fetu." "The infant has had surgery, and his condition is stable," he continued.

It may be mentioned that Dr. Aziz said that after surgery, the child was discharged from the hospital.
