Digital Desk: Former J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik was questioned for over five hours by CBI officials regarding his claim that he had been offered Rs 300 crore as a bribe to clear two files during his term as Governor of J&K between August 23, 2018, and October 30, 2019. The agency will examine his replies to its questions before deciding on further action.

"The CBI has asked me to appear before them as they want to clarify certain things about the case. They have orally asked me to arrive on April 27 or 28, depending on how I feel," Malik previously told India Today TV.

Recently, he claimed that RSS and BJP leader Ram Madhav offered him money to pass a scheme. Ram Madhav termed the claims false and filed a defamation case against Malik.

The CBI filed two FIRs in April last year in connection with Malik's alleged corruption in the granting of contracts for a group medical insurance scheme for government employees and civil work worth Rs 2,200 crore relating to the erstwhile state's Kiru hydroelectric power project.
