Digital Desk: Four residents of Lohore Chapori village, under the Bokakhat Assembly constituency, were seriously injured in a harrowing tiger attack on Monday morning.

The incident occurred when a local woman, Memi Pao, was suddenly attacked by a tiger emerging from dense vegetation while she was in a nearby field.


Hearing her screams, three villagers- Ashwini Pegu, Devaranjan Kaman, and Pepei Pegu- rushed to her rescue, but were also attacked and mauled by the animal.


The critically injured victims were evacuated by ferry to Alami village, from where they were rushed via a 108 ambulance to a hospital for urgent medical attention.


Their conditions are reported to be critical.
