Digital Desk: As many as three people have been killed in separate incidents involving gunfire and accidents in the past 24 hours in Manipur, reports emerged on Sunday.

According to reports, the first incident occurred on Saturday during a firefight. The body of a 40-year-old man identified as Wareppam Kiran was found under the debris of a bunker.

According to sources, the militants started firing from the elevated Phuroi Hills area in Churachandpur district, which is near the Ningthoukhong village in Bishnupur district.

In another incident that took place yesterday at Satang Khul, which is located between the districts of Kangpokpi and Imphal East, a fight broke out between terrorists and Village Volunteers.

Timminlun Khongsai, a Kangpokpi district residents, tragically died as the result of the fight.

Additionally, it was reported that on the same day, a road accident occurred near Tejpur Waiton Lamkhai, which is part of the Imphal East district, killing an elderly woman identified as Lairenlakpam Bimola.
