Digital Desk: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has asked all city traders to display the national flag in their business premises from August 13-15 as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, according to reports on Sunday.


The corporation asked all traders under Municipal Marks and all trade licence holders under the purview of Guwahati Municipal Corporation to hoist/display the tricolour flag at their business premises in a letter dated August 11.


The Letter


"In light of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative, all Traders under Municipal Markets and all Trade Licence holders under the purview of Guwahati Municipal Corporation are hereby directed to hoist/display the National Flag in their business premises w.e.f. 13.08.2023 to 15.08.2023," the letter states.


The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was initiated in 2022 to instil patriotism in the hearts of the people and to raise knowledge about the national flag.
