Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a man who was believed to be in charge of a rehabilitation center in Guwahati city died under mysterious circumstances on Saturday.
The incident occurred at the rehabilitation center in the city's Sadilapur area, under the Jalukbari police station in the city.
The deceased has been identified as Dipankar Namasudra.
According to reports, Dipankar suddenly collapsed after he fell and lost consciousness, though he was rushed to a nearby hospital; but the doctors declared him dead.
Following the incident, the deceased's family members lodged a complaint at the Jalukbari police station.
Meanwhile, a person has been taken into custody by city police for questioning.

It should be noted that earlier, several such situations were reported where individuals died due to various reasons in Guwahati city.
Following this, Assam minister Pijush Hazarika visited three rehab centers in the city in May of this year and inspected the facilities available there.
Pijush Hazarika also issued strong directives to the three rehab centers' directors, ordering them to strictly follow the government regulations and take special care of hygiene. The minister continued by saying that similar initiatives would continue in the state in the coming days.
