Guwahati: Former United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I) leader Anup Chetia slamming the BJP government stated that from January 2020, the government of India didn't sit in discussion with ULFA. Moreover, Chetia tagged the incident as a shameful and unfortunate incident.
At a press meet organized by North East Indigenous People's Forum, the former ULFA militant said, "It's a shameful and unfortunate that the Government of India didn't sit with the ULFA-I to discuss further."

Meanwhile, demanding to cancel the Cabinet decision over the APSC issue, the former ULFA-I militant said, "It proves the relationship between the former chief minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and the BJP government is not going well and there is a fight among them."
Notably, the Assam Cabinet on November 24 decided to withdraw the language papers from the APSC syllabus for the ease of the candidates appearing for the said exam. Following the decision, several political parties, including the Assam Jatiya Parishad and Congress, stand against the government, demanding to withdraw its decision.
