Guwahati: Assam Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, commenting over the removal of hoardings in Barak valley and Nagaon, said that Barak valley people are not the haters of the Assamese language.
Suklabaidya stated that a group with a separatist attitude to gain political power creates this type of environment among the people.
“Barak people respect the state language and also each and every mother tongue that is spoken in the state.” added Suklabaidya.

“No one can progress in their life by slamming the mother tongue of others.” he added.
Further, speaking about the provision of using the Bengali language in the Assam legislative assembly, Suklabaidya said, “If the usage of banners and posters in assamese language is in at threat in Barak valley, then how it will be if someone restrict the speaking of Bengali language in Ganeshguri.”
Further, pointing out Trinamool Congress leader Sushmita Dev, Suklabaidya said there is a politics in the entire issue, which will be resolved soon.
