The Maharashtra Chief Minister stated that the MVA administration is dedicated to the welfare of women by creating programs for them.
Digital Desk: Uddhav Thackeray, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said on March 8 that his government is committed to ensuring that women's empowerment programs reach the intended recipients and that a new women's empowerment strategy will be announced soon. Thackeray said women are not merely tied to the kitchen and child-rearing but have gone beyond these responsibilities to be equal to men in all domains, greeting women on the occasion of International Women's Day at an event in Mumbai. "It is our responsibility as political leaders to explore how we can help and support women," the Chief Minister stated. "Women's laws, facilities, and health infrastructure must be adequate, and awareness must be raised," he stated. Thackeray went on to say that the new women's empowerment strategy will be published soon and that the MVA administration is devoted to women's welfare through implementing programs for them. "Women have all of the skills; all they need are opportunities." During the COVID-19 epidemic, women police officers, Anganwadi workers, health workers, doctors, and nurses worked tirelessly," he stated. According to the Chief Minister, the State government has cut the working hours for female police officers to eight hours.
