Digital Desk: In yet another major burst, the Government Railway Police (GRP) seized a large amount of ganja on Wednesday from a train at Guwahati Railway Station.

In response to intelligence, police conducted a search and seized 93.7 kilograms of ganja from a Rajdhani express train stationed there.

According to reports, the train was on its way to lower Assam before stopping in Guwahati.

The seized ganja is said to have a market value in crores.

There have been no arrests in connection with the seizure.

Further investigation is underway.

Earlier this year, the GRP seized approximately 40kg of ganja from a Vivek Express train arriving in Guwahati from Dimapur.

According to police, no arrests were made in connection with the seizure because the ganja, which was packed in two bags, was discovered unattended in the train.

The seized ganja is estimated to be worth 20 lakhs.

According to reports, the ganja was smuggled from Dimapur and was on its way to Kanyakumari before being apprehended in Guwahati.
