Digital Desk: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the results of Gunotsav 2023 while also expressing satisfaction for the significant improvements in school infrastructure and the standard of education.

As per Gunotsav 2023 results, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Golaghat, and Majuli took first, second, third, and fourth place, respectively. Surprisingly, Kamrup Metro is ranked 29th.

Gunotsav's major goal is to conduct a complete evaluation of the education system in Assam, covering multiple factors such as teacher-student ratio, amenities, methods of teaching, and student performance.

Notably, out of the 19,172 schools that participated in the Gunotsav 2023, more than 11,000 schools in Assam achieved A+ grades, indicating a significant improvement in the field of education after considering all aspects.

Moreover, CM Sarma provided financial help of Rs 25,000 to all schools achieving A+ grades, to be used to rectify any infrastructure flaws.

CM Sarma proposed a non-financial academic effort and encouraged officials to include school clothing in the Gunotsav evaluation.

Meanwhile, CM Sarma considered proposals to discuss how to enhance C and D grade schools and raise them to at least B grades.
