The incident took place when a speeding Mahindra Scorpio in which they were travelling lost control and hit a divider before hitting another parked vehicle on Jalukbari Flyover road.


Digital Desk: At least seven students from Assam Engineering College (AEC) have been killed in a road accident that took place in the Jalukbari flyover on Sunday night.

The incident took place when a speeding Mahindra Scorpio in which they were travelling lost control and hit a divider before hitting another parked vehicle on Jalukbari Flyover road.

The Scorpio is registered with the number AS-01-FK-9605.

As per the sources, the senior police officers rushed to the scene and rescued the dead and injured, and sent them to hospital. Four people, including the driver and handyman of the Bolero pickup van, are in critical condition.
 
Sources claimed that the two vehicles were cut down to rescue the injured and killed.
 
It is further reported that the students were under the influence of alcohol and bottles of liquor recovered from the Scorpio.

·        Kaushik Mohan from Sivasagar
·        Upangshu Sarmah from Nagaon
·        Raj Kiran Bhuyan from Majuli
·        Emon Barua from Dibrugarh
·        Kaushik Baruah from Mangaldoi
