Digital Desk: The "Dighalipukhuri," a famous tourist spot in Guwahati, is now known as the "Entartica" Dighalipukhuri. This comes in the wake of accusations that the Assam Government leased the tourism destination to an outside company.

The price of entering Dighalipukhuri also increased with the new name. The cost of a ticket per person has now increased to Rs 20. According to the tickets, Dighalipukhuri is listed as being part of Entartica.

'Entartica' is allegedly a Gujarat-based business. The registered office of Gujarat-based Echt Conglomerate Private Limited is in Entartica Seaworld in Sabarmati West of Ahmedabad.

According to other reports, the state government leased the tourist destination to this private business for 15 years for Rs 30 lakhs.

It should be noted that Assam's Minister of Tourism Jayanta Mallabaruah denied rumours that Dighalipukhuri will be sold to a third party on Saturday. Jayanta Mallabaruah announced this in a tweet, stating that the Dighalipukhuri would continue to be managed by the state tourism department.
