Digital Desk: Bandana Kalita, the main suspect in the murder of her husband and mother-in-law, appeared in district court on Saturday.
According to sources, Arup Deka and Dhanti Deka were presented before the district judiciary as well. The three people were brought before the court to begin the trial procedure.
Bandana had earlier contested all of the claims and denied any involvement in the horrible murder before the special court on June 8.
Assam police had already issued a comprehensive 1630-page charge sheet against Bandana, recording the evidence and witnesses acquired during the investigation.
Looking into the case, Bandana murdered her husband and mother-in-law, dismembering them and stuffing the body pieces into a refrigerator.
The murder, according to preliminary reports, occurred in Guwahati's Noonmati neighbourhood. The murder is thought to have been the outcome of the accused woman's extramarital involvement with another person.
According to sources, after committing the murder, the accused severed the bodies of the two victims and stuffed the pieces inside a refrigerator. The bodies were dumped in Meghalaya three days after they were murdered.
