Guwahati: Drunk driving mishap by youngsters in the city's streets at night

Digital Desk: Recently, drunken youngsters in Guwahati city were seen swarming up at night in the city's streets.

Recently, the Traffic police were doing normal checks in front of Janata Bhavan when the reported incident of drunk drivers took place.

The driving mishap that was held in the city during nighttime when a Honda City (Car) vehicle managed to escape after being struck by police in Down Town at a high speed. 

Reportedly, the Police chased the youths driving the Honda City with vehicle number 01 AK 9793. 

In a recent development, The youth named Bhargava Deka of Bhangagarh Silarai Nagar area is currently under the custody of Dispur police.

It's been reported that two Dispur traffic police personnel each sustained injuries in the collision of the vehicle.

The young man under custody who tried to flee from the spot after being raided by the police had been drinking heavily.
