Digital Desk: On Sunday morning, less than 24 hours after the major road calamity, another accident occurred near the Nilachal Flyover in Guwahati's Kamakhya Gate region.
According to sources, a DI pickup truck with the registration number ML10 C 5644 was driving towards Bhalarumukh from the Maligaon region when it lost control of the wheels and crashed with a Swift automobile with the registration number AS01 HC 3592, inflicting damage to the vehicle. The pickup vehicle carrying the fruit collapsed after the crash.
The pickup van's driver fled the scene of the accident, but no injuries or fatalities have been recorded.
The Jalukbari Traffic Police has arrived at the scene in the meantime.
It should be noted that there have been two accidents reported in the past twenty-four hours. A speeding truck struck four motorcyclists and a bus on top of the flyover earlier on Saturday morning, causing at least one person to pass away instantly and several more to suffer injuries.
One person died instantly when a vehicle travelling on the Nilachal Flyover in the direction of Bharalumukh side collided with four bikes and a city bus.
