The city police have captured 4 kilograms of Manipuri ganja, 13 kg of methamphetamine, and 12 kg of heroin this year.
Digital Desk: In the year 2022, the Guwahati Police seized drugs worth 250 crores of rupees. This statement was made by Joint Commissioner of Police Partha Sarathi Mahanta.
Mahanta claimed that although the drug peddlers made multiple attempts to switch up their methods and smuggle drugs, most of the time the city police were successful in apprehending the peddlers and seizing the drugs.
The city police have captured 4 kilograms of Manipuri ganja, 13 kg of methamphetamine, and 12 kg of heroin this year.
Additionally, this year the police have seized 10 lakh Yaba tablets.
The metropolitan police have also revealed a number of interstate networks in the meantime.
