A total of 67 stolen automobiles were recovered, and 24 people were detained.

Digital Desk: In the 15 days between December 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022, the Guwahati Police Commissionerate registered 56 cases of car theft as part of its crackdown on vehicle theft, narcotics trafficking, and mobile phone theft.

Guwahati Police recovered four stolen four-wheelers, three stolen three-wheelers, and 60 stolen two-wheelers over this 15-day period, according to data. A total of 67 stolen automobiles were recovered, and 24 people were detained.

Between December 16 and December 31, the Guwahati Police Commissionerate registered 16 cases of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act violations, and 23 people were arrested. Police seized 279.044 kg of marijuana, 355.535 grams of heroin, and 31.6 grams of brown sugar.


In contrast, three cases were filed under the Arms Act, and six people were arrested. During these 15 days, three arms were recovered/seized.

From December 16 to December 31, the Guwahati Police Commissionerate received 17 reports of mobile phone theft. A total of 26 people were arrested, and 130 stolen cellphones were recovered/seized.
