Digital Desk: Paltan Bazar police detained two suspected dacoits from Guwahati's Lachit Nagar neighbourhood on Tuesday.
Safikul and Rajeev have been identified as the two individuals.
They also had a toy gun in their possession, which was seized.
The pair, according to police, were involved in a number of robberies throughout the city.
Further investigation is being conducted.
Earlier this year, two teenagers were arrested in Assam's Lakhimpur district for reportedly attempting to rob people with toy firearms.
According to authorities, the locals initially noticed the kids who were roaming the roadway brandishing toy weapons and allegedly attempting to rob passersby.
Locals quickly overpowered the pair and handed them over to authorities.
