These restrictions will be relaxed for the school buses, ambulances, fire brigade and other emergency vehicles...

Digital Desk: Ahead of the arrival of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Guwahati, the city traffic police have imposed traffic restrictions for commuters on Saturday (January 20).

The following restrictions have been imposed in the city: 

1. All commercial goods carrying vehicles including LMV/MMV/ HMV will be restricted at GS Road, Punjabari Road, B.Barooah Road, GNB Road, MG Road, and AT Road from 12 noon till 7 pm. 

2. ASTC buses, Inter-district buses and City buses plying over GS Road, Punjabari Road, B.Barooah Road, GNB Road, MG Road and AT Road will be regulated from 12 noon to 7 pm.

3. Slow-moving vehicles like E Rickshaws, thela, and Rickshaws will be restricted on GS Road, Punjabari Road, B.Barooah Road, GNB Road, MG Road, AT Road from 12 noon till 7 pm. 

4. All commercial goods carrying vehicles (LMV/MMV/ HMV) will be restricted on NH27 from 12 noon to 7 pm. 

5. All commercial goods carrying vehicles ( LMV/ MMV/ HMV ) will be restricted on NH17 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
 
These restrictions will be relaxed for the school buses, ambulances, fire brigade and other emergency vehicles. 

On January 20, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront Development's first phase. 

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma personally inspected the venue on January 18 to assess the level of preparation before the inauguration. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of flawless execution during his visit and gave all officials instructions on how to make sure the program proceeds without a hitch.

Earlier, on January 18, Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated another significant occasion by inaugurating a ground-breaking Cyber Security Operations Center at the Assam Rifles headquarters.

 This center, the first of its kind in the central armed police forces, has the potential to greatly improve the force's cyber security posture.

The Assam Rifles Wide Area Network (ARWAN) will be continuously monitored by the Cyber Security Operations Centre, which will be essential for mitigating external threats and averting cyber infractions. The facility will be accessible around-the-clock to protect against cyber threats and is outfitted with cutting-edge data monitoring equipment.
